Step by step instructions on how to measure for a tuxedo and all it"e;s components. How to measu Measure for a Tuxedo
Transcript:
To measure for a tuxedo, there are three components: To measure the tuxedo, pants and shirt. First I will show you how to measure for a shirt.

The first part of that is measuring the neck. You simply measure around the neck, and it would be good to leave at least a finger or two space between there. The next step is to measure the sleeves. The sleeves should be measured from the center of the spine, down to the shoulder, then all the way down to the wrist.

The next item to measure would be the pants. Many people already know their waist size, but the way to measure them is right below the belly button going around the waist. Our pants are adjustable at the waist, so you only need to now a range of sizes. The second measurement for a pair of pants is the length. All of our pants at Tuxedosonline.com do not come hemmed, so you don't have to worry about this measurement. However you do have to worry about it to get it hemmed, so I will show you show to do it. You take it from the waist, where the pants end up, all the way down to almost the floor. This would give you the out seam. What you would do is put the pants on the table, measure to your out seam, draw a line with tailor's chalk, and hem it at that length, and you don't have to take it to a tailor if you don't want to. If you do, chances are it won't be too expensive, $5-10. That's why we keep our pants unhemmed when we sell them online. The third measurement is the coat. The coat measurement is more art than science. The first thing to do for the coat measurement is to measure the chest. Don't measure too tight or too loose, have a 3 or 4 fingers worth of space there. Shirts come in short regular and long. Anyone under 6 feet is regular, under 5'7" is short and anyone over 6 feet is long. This measurement is not a perfect way to find a coat size. the best way would be to put a coat of that size on you. Try different coats and see if they are comfortable on you.
